LPI works with organizations around the world to ensure the growth and adoption of Linux, Open Source and Free Software. This work involves a strategy or assisting and co-operating with existing organizations that share the same interests as ourselves. LPI's "Regional Enablement Initiative" focuses on identifying who are the best parther organizations in regions around the globe who are best suited for the task of promoting Linux professionalism and are also able, with our assistance, to identify other partner organizations.
LPI Pakistan
The Linux Professional Institute - LPI Pakistan Territory Operations is a Master Affiliate of LPI International. The LPI Pakistan activities are focused on evolving and promoting Linux and Free and Open Source Software industry standard certified skilled manpower for the Pakistani IT industry and general business and commercial markets. LPI Operations in the Pakistan Territory are lead by Mr. Fouad Riaz Bajwa that involve evolving a LPI Ecosystem in the region, nurturing a LPI Certified and Skilled Community, appointment of LPI Training Partners under the LPI Approved Training Partner (LPI ATP) Program, bringing online sponsors and industry supporters of LPI, Conducting LPI Certification Exam Labs on regular pre-announced intervals throughout the year, represent LPI at exhibitions in the region and respond to queries directed toward LPI from the region.
At-Large Activities and Background
Mr. Fouad is also eligible for conducting and Proctering LPI Exam Labs in various countries around the globe including South Asia and Asia Pacific, LPI Certification Train the Trainer activites and as an active member of the LPI community, carry forward initiatives that promote LPI and its objectives in the region. Fouad is also regarded for cultivating a Free and Open Source Software community in Pakistan and promoting FOSS in South Asia, he is known to be the region's FOSS Advocate and Campaigner.
